We are always looking for great people to get involved in the following ways:
Teaching Assistants (TAs)
If you enjoy kids and cooking and want get your hands dirty, our Teaching Assistant Roles are for you. Use your talents to help us with our classes and events. Responsibilities include assisting the Lead Teacher, engaging the students, helping with class activities, preparing the recipe, keeping everything running smoothly, keeping the kitchen clean and organized and pre-baking food as needed. Our goal is to help you develop your skills so that you lead your own recipe with the kids at least once during the semester. If you have these skills and would like to work with a growing organization that is kid and food focused, Taste Buds Kitchen would love to meet with you! Classes meet either at our Chelsea location or at a school around NYC. This is a volunteer position; class credit is available if desired. Additionally, this is a great way to learn more about Taste Buds Kitchen and progress to a paid position in future semesters if you’re a great fit. Many of our past Teaching Assistants are now Managers! Qualifications: Comfortable in classroom setting and working with students (ages preK-8th grade), background with cooking, comfortable monitoring behavior of students, general assistantship skills.
WINTER 2013: Now to late May/early June. Commit to the same class (same day/time each week) for the entire semester. Weekly time commitment varies from 2 to 6 hours per class.
SUMMER 2013 SUMMER CAMPS:
(1) Early June to August. Full-week commitment – 8am-5pm Monday to Friday – for a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 13 week. Each week of camp has a new and exciting culinary theme. TAs will receive a stipend of $125/week.
(2) Early June to August. Monday and Wednesday 3:45-6:00 commitment for the entire summer semester to TA our Mommy & Me classes for 2-4 year olds.
Education Intern
Taste Buds Kitchen is currently looking for an education intern to think up fun and creative supplemental activities for our after school cooking program! Planning for each week will be done at out West 27th Street location. This is a volunteer position; class credit is available if desired. Qualifications: Experienced or studying education, knowledgeable about food, very creative and great with kids.

Office & Marketing Intern
If you enjoy organization, processes, being prepared, social media, and spreading the word about Taste Buds Kitchen, our Office & Marketing Internship is for you. Use your talents to help us keep Taste Buds Kitchen running with event-prep and administrative tasks in the office such as – updating event binders, processing donations, uploading/sorting photos, updating class marketing board, folding new aprons, making recipe books, assembling cookie mixes/party favors and more. Use your talents to help us with marketing items such as – updating Facebook and twitter, checking haro.com, going postcard flyering, writing blog posts, updating the press book and more. If you have these skills and would like to work with a growing organization that is kid and food focused, Taste Buds Kitchen would love to meet with you! Reports each week to our Chelsea Kitchen. This is a volunteer position; class credit is available if desired. Qualifications: Comfortable working in an office setting, organized, professional, comfortable with computers, comfortable promoting Taste Buds Kitchen.

Lead Teacher & Full-Time Team
Want to join our team of oh-so-fabulous Chef Instructors and/or our Full-Time Office Team? We are looking for great teachers to join our Weekend Team (commitment of 4+ events per month required), our Weekday After-School team (weekly commitment for the entire semester) and our Office Team. Candidates must love kids, food and have a strong teaching background. Early education degrees, culinary school and other formal training is strongly preferred for Lead Teaching Roles.
