Our Herb Garden
We are thrilled with our brand new herb and vegetable garden! So far we have some basil, mint, chives, sugar plum cherry tomatoes and nasturtium. Not sure what nasturtium is? Well it’s got a peppery, tangy flavor and is similar to garden cress and mustard greens. It also has beautiful light pink flowers, which add a pop of color to the garden. Our little chefs will be helping us tend to the garden every Tuesday, during which they’ll learn all about gardening and composting as well. We’ll be teaching the kids about composting and what good it does for gardening. We can’t wait till our herbs grow a bit so that we can begin to include them in some delicious recipes in the Taste Buds Kitchen. Imagine our lasagna cups with fresh-picked basil, yum!
