We’re feeling a lot of L.O.V.E. for our super foods! In the spotlight this week are Black Beans. We tend to think about brightly colored fruits and vegetables as our best source of phytonutrients, but it turns out that black beans are a strong contender in healthy nutrients! The seed coat of the black bean (it’s skin!) is an outstanding source of good stuff for our bodies. All told, the black bean has over 11 mega healthy-helpers with crazy long names that ultimately help with the energy output for our bodies! And they’re so tiny! Black Beans, will you be my valentine?
