Eden’s first Kitchen in Southlake, TX was the very first Taste Buds Kitchen franchise to stem from our flagship Kitchen in NYC. Being the first franchise of a brand is a leap of faith, Eden says, “I quite literally happened upon it (Taste Buds Kitchen) online and was so confused that it came up on a franchise list, but there was only one location. The rest is history!”

TBK Southlake introduced the Dallas/Ft Worth community to a brand new form of culinary entertainment for kids, families and adults. The concept was a huge hit amongst her clients, especially for kids birthday parties. Its success led Eden to begin preparations for opening a second location in Plano, TX which she opened in the Fall of 2018. TBK Plano is off to a great start with overwhelming local support, drawing an especially large crow for adult byob cooking classes.

One of the great benefits of franchising is the opportunity it provides for owners to open one or multiple locations. When Eden opened her first Kitchen in 2015, she was not sure what the future would hold, but she knew she had the drive and experience to go far with the TBK brand. She loves being a part of the impact that cooking with others in a fun way has on her client’s lives. The mutual benefit for herself, her team, and her clients is too good not to share and, “I’d love to be able to continue to reach more and more people, inspiring them to get into the Kitchen.” says Bullock

Eden’s go-getter and team-player persona has helped her to grow your Kitchens, always putting the clients’ experience first. Just this year alone, Eden and her amazing team have entertained over 9,772 happy budding chefs ages 2 to 99. “My favorite thing about TBK is being able to provide both my team and my clients a memorable time where they’ll laugh, share connections, and learn, all around a delicious menu!” says Bullock.

Family First

As a mom of four, Eden was searching for a business that would combine her love of food and culinary entertainment while still allowing time to be with her family. Eden’s children are budding chefs themselves, she says, “I love what I do and love that my family is such a part of the experience as well.”

Eden attended culinary school at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI, and has been in the food service industry ever since. She has run operations and grown culinary businesses, but Taste Buds Kitchen was an opportunity for her to grow something for herself and her family. Her kids love to come to the Kitchen and participate in classes and camps. They enjoy the entire experience from start to finish – including the chef instruction and culinary skills, but especially the savoring of their delicious creations! Of her favorite TBK recipes, Eden says, “I could (and have) eat six of our Chocolate Stout Cupcakes in one sitting. I also LOVE a medium-rare chocolate chip cookie. ?”

The Apple Doesn’t Fall Far from the Tree

Eden’s son, Bert, is an accomplished baker having made it to the final 12 for the Kids Baking Championship at age 11 (just 2 shy of being cast on the show). “He’s always been talented in the kitchen, but surprised us all with his knowledge of pastry arts. He easily whipped up a gorgeous Meyer lemon creme brûlée, 2 tiered Boy Scout themed layered cake in addition to many cupcakes, tarts, macarons, pies and pastries which put him through many rounds of auditions, interviews, demos and presentations with the Food Network.”

Learning & Growing Everyday

Taste Buds Kitchen’s classes are built around the fun of learning and the joy it brings to go home with a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. A true leader never ceases to learn and Eden is no exception to this rule, “I’ve learned so much and continue to learn everyday. There is nothing that makes me feel more content than seeing the Kitchens (Southlake & Plano) full of budding chefs.” Eden is excited for the future of her Kitchens and the growth of the Taste Buds Kitchen brand. She continues to bring her joy of learning and love of food to the communities of the DFW day after day.
