Kids Birthday Parties

You select the menu and we make it with your guests entirely from scratch. All of our menus are delicious and oh-so-fun for the age of the group. Our most popular menus typically include pizza, pasta, sushi rolls, cupcakes, and donuts but we have many menus to choose from. We’re sure you’ll find the perfect menu for you.

Groups with fewer than the minimum number of guests are welcome but will pay the minimum price.

All of our menus are nut-free. We do our best to offer a wide variety of menus that cater to different dietary needs and restrictions from vegetarian to gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free and vegan. If you select an allergy-free menu, it is important to note that while the recipes are free of those ingredients, we are not an allergy-free facility for these ingredients. Recipes are cooked at group tables, and for your safety individual adjustments cannot be made. Please contact your local Kitchen if you have any questions.

If an individual participant has an allergy that would prevent them from enjoying what you’ve prepared, they have the option to bring in an individual portion of a nut-free outside food for their enjoyment. For example, a frosted cupcake or room-temp gluten-free pasta dish. The outside food cannot require heat or preparation and TBK will not serve this food to the client.

The show must go on! The Kitchen and instructors are reserved in advance for your specific event time so it is important to remind your guests to arrive on time so that we can get started promptly and end on time.

While clients usually give gratuity, it is at your discretion. We recommend 15-20% for our culinary crew for a job well done. If you select to include gratuity in creating your booking, it will be calculated based on your event total and included in your final balance payment.

As a general rule for the safety of all guests, we do not allow outside food. All of our menus are nut-free and we take food allergies very seriously.

For kids’ birthday parties, we do make limited exceptions only as outlined below. If you plan to bring in outside food, you must inform us at least 5 days prior to your event and an outside food fee will be added to your booking. All items must be nut-free and not require a heat source, refrigeration or freezer space. Plates, cups, utensils and napkins will be provided. Please bring these items with you when you arrive. No advanced deliveries will be accepted. Taste Buds Kitchen reserves the right to turn away any outside food that does not adhere to our policy.

Birthday Cake – For savory menus, we always recommend our cupcake decorating add-on in lieu of a cake to enhance participant’s hands-on culinary experience. If your selected menu already includes cupcakes, we’ll simply add a candle to the birthday child’s cupcake creation so it’s photo-ready for the big “Happy Birthday” blowout moment. But if a full cake is a must-have family tradition, you may bring one. We’ll cut and serve your cake to the guests when it’s time to eat.

Snacks for Chaperones – Though we strongly recommend parent drop-off for our birthday parties to keep the spotlight on the birthday child and their friends and due to space constraints, you may wish to provide light snacks for a small group of chaperones. Birthday parents may bring in up to two platters for their chaperone guests. Outside food must arrive on platters ready for service so adults can help themselves while our culinary crew focuses on leading the party experience for your child and friends.

Snacks for Children – Party guests will make – and eat – the delicious menu you’ve selected! As our parties include plenty of food for the kiddos and participants will be engaged throughout the party, outside food is unnecessary and discouraged. Should you still feel the need to bring in something additional, snacks for the children must arrive ready for service so our team can pass them out when it’s time to eat.

If you’d like to bring additional balloons, custom paper goods or a birthday cake, please bring it with you at that time. Due to the nature of being in a working kitchen, we are not able to accommodate table-based decorations or items that need to be attached to the walls or ceilings. Pinatas are not permitted.

You can complete our online waiver by clicking the link in your confirmation email. Guest participation in our Kitchen is subject to the execution of our Waiver. This Waiver must be signed by a parent for all minors (no nannies/sitters, grandparents, carpooling parents, etc). Any guests without a Waiver will not be able to participate. As the booking client, we will rely on you to clearly communicate this to your guests. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Event deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable; if you’d like to change your date and/or time a new deposit is required. Modification to the selected menu, guest headcount, add-ons and favors are acceptable until 5 days prior to your event. After this time, your headcount is a guaranteed attendance and will not be reduced regardless of how many guests attend. The remaining balance will be charged to the card on file 5 days prior to your event. If your event falls on a Tuesday or Wednesday, the card on file will be charged the preceding Friday. Taste Buds Kitchen will not be held responsible for unforeseen circumstances including schedule conflicts, illnesses, last-minute emergencies, and any other circumstance.

Purchasing Event Protection at booking lets you cancel your private event for any reason up to 5 days before your event and receive a kitchen credit for the full deposit paid (minus protection and processing fees). Credits are valid for 6 months.
