Our friends at Kiwi Magazine have launched their search for the 2012 Next Great Young Chef. Open to kids from 4 to 14 years old, the contest is a chance for budding chefs to showcase an original recipe. To enter, the child’s parent or guardian should upload a video of the child demonstrating how to make the dish. (They can also submit a photo of the child with their creation, which is eligible for honorable mention.) Each recipe must be original and submitted with the video or photo, and include one of their sponsors’ products. Entries will be judged by their panel of experts—and the winners will be featured in a future issue of KIWI. Grand prizes of $1,500 will be awarded in two age categories 4 to 8 and 9 to 14 and honorable mention prize of $250. The entry deadline is July 15 to apply.
