How to Regrow Scallions

Scallions – also known as Green Onions or Spring Onions – are a delicious flavorful garnish for any dish!  They are great to keep on hand to use whenever cooking.  At Taste Buds Kitchen we use Scallions in salads, dips and as an elegant garnish to finish plating.  Are you tired of buying fresh scallions every time it’s in a recipe?  So are we!  There is a special trick to re-grow already cut scallions at home!  When cutting, use the green part of the scallion, save the roots and place in a jar with water, keep in a sunny spot by the window.  Scallions will regrow from the layers underneath fully in a week to 10 days!  Change out the water every other day to stay fresh.
